Tryout for the Rockers

Annual Rockers tryouts are held in the late summer. Girls who are interested in playing softball for the Rockers should participate in tryouts at the appropriate time for their age group. Registration/warm ups begin a half-hour prior to each scheduled try out; girls should bring a softball glove, helmet, fielding mask, bat, cleats/tennis shoes and wear workout clothing. Tennis shoes will be required if try outs are moved indoors due to the weather. Teams are made up primarily of girls who live within the Appleton East school district. Players are selected based on their try out performance, and all final rosters are approved by the South Appleton Softball Association Board of Directors. Players who are selected and their families must be willing to travel on weekends to play in tournaments. In addition, each family must volunteer at the Rocker Kick-Off Classic Tournament.
 
Costs
Registration Fee: 10U-$350, 12U/14U-$400, 16U-$450
Required Helmet: $70
Required Jersey: $75 (includes both jerseys)
Required Pants: $35

2027 Tryouts are Sunday, August 9th, 2026 at Appleton East High School- JV softball field
 
Times listed below for age groups.
3:00pm – 5:00PM – 14U, 16U, & 18U teams (pitching/catching last 30 minutes)
5:00pm – 7:00pm – 8U, 10U, & 12U teams (pitching/catching last 30 minutes)
 
In the event of inclement weather and the need to cancel, you will receive a email with cancellation information.

Players unable to attend the August 9th, 2026 tryouts may tryout on the make-up date – Wednesday, August 12th, 2026 from 3PM – 5PM at Appleton East High School- JV softball field. Please contact the Tryout Coordinator at tryout4rockers@gmail.com if you plan on attending the make-up session on August 12th, 2026.
